Endangered Species Act Status Review Report for the Coelacanth, Latimeria chalumnae

The information is a review of the biological and conservation status of, and extinction risk to, coelacanth, which was petitioned for listing under the Endangered Species Act.  Status reviews are required under section 4 of the Act. The status review report will help inform the decision whether this species warrants listing under the Act.

Will the agency provide significant and relevant public comments to the peer reviewers before they conduct their review? no.
