What's New in IT Workforce Issues: IT Program Manager Career Paths
The Resource Management Division (RMD) is responsible for financial, administrative and personnel management for the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) and High Performance Computing and Communications. The goal of the RMD is to provide accurate and timely management support on organizational, financial and personnel matters. The RMD works in collaboration with the Acquisition and Grants Office (AGO), the Finance Office, and the Budget Office to meet organizational and management needs. Additionally, the RMD works in partnership with NOAA's Workforce Management Office and the CIO community to develop, implement, and communicate strategies to recruit, retain and manage a fully-trained and qualified IT workforce to meet current and future mission requirements.
The RMD is responsible for:
- Financial planning, budget formulation and execution
- Accounting and financial reporting
- Acquisition planning and requirements coordination
- Human capital planning and reporting
- IT workforce initiatives
- Personnel management, recruitment, and employee training
- MOUs, MOAs, and other reimbursable agreements, collections and billings
- Internal controls and coordination of management control reviews
- Property program management
- Travel program management
- Purchase card program management
- Employee and contractor HSPD-12 requirements
